Infectious diseases department deals with diseases caused by bacteria or viruses in any part of body or any organ in adults.

This department deals with a very wide range of diseases, including but not limited to flu, meningitis, urinary tract infections, hepatitis, diarrhea, food poisoning and parasitic diseases. Likewise, differential diagnosis is made for non-infectious diseases accompanied by fever and patients with such conditions are referred to the relevant department(s) by Infectious Disease physician.

Infectious diseases department also conducts required to control, monitor and minimize nosocomial infections and trains patients, family members and relevant personnel on the subject. Rational, appropriate and efficient use of antibiotics has an important position in infection control studies.
